DigiCue ~ A Review by Garret Troop

The DigiCue is well worth the money and as a great price point of around $79.99. Considering the thousands of dollars that we as pool players spend on cues and cases this is a small chip in the bucket and really helps change your game once you understand what it is capable of.

Your cue is your weapon of choice when you challenge the table.  It’s extremely important that you know how to properly use it. There are a lot of training devices out there and many are gimmicks. However, I had the distinguished privilege of testing the OB DigiCue. When I first was testing it on the easy option and something that I noticed immediately was that it did what is was supposed to do. However you need a partner with you to help you see what you are doing wrong.

The DigiCue is a training device that that has a three-way axis that allows you to understand some of the problems in your stroke.  It’s a small black sleeve that fits over the butt end of your cue with a small chip in the bottom of the rubber sleeve.  It has a small watch battery that allows you endless hours of play. The DigiCue has two different sleeves that allow you to put is on virtually any cue. These sleeves will fit Pool Cues, Carom Cue and Snooker Cues.  It has a small raised likes on it almost like Brail that allow you to turn it on and off.

This is a great tool however I see that it need a visual aid like a second person, a giant Mirror or best yet a video camera to analyze what it that you are doing wrong.  This is the first generation of the DigiCue and I personally am very excited about OB to see what else they have up their sleeve.  This little device came out of nowhere from OB and it makes me wonder what else they will come up with.  Everywhere I went people were asking questions about it and all seems genially interested in the device.  I now carry it in my pool case and really try and see that I am doing wrong. It really makes you slow down and think about your stroke.
