“The youth are our future” is a quote used by many people to describe multiple aspects of life.  In pool, it is ever so true.  All throughout the county, there is a growing number of young people playing the game and getting into the sport more seriously as opposed to just something to do.  There a lot of junior tournaments on the local and national level. These are avenues for these young players to experience a big tournament feel.  One such player is Trista Ingham from Rockford, Iowa.  Trista is an up and coming junior player that is looking to up her game get to the next level.

How did you get into pool? I started shooting leagues with my dad when I was 12 years old. How has playing with BEF helped you? BEF has made me want to play better. Who are some of the players you look up to? The players I look up to the most are Shane Van Boening and Ronnie O’Sullivan What is your favorite pool game to play? My favorite pool game would have to be between 10 ball and 8 ball. What pool game do you want to play but haven’t yet? I want to learn to play one pocket mainly because it involves a lot of patience and it makes you think outside the box, which is what I love about one pocket. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself winning a lot more and traveling a lot more to bigger tournaments and playing better shooters. What is the best advice anyone gave you? The best advice I have ever gotten would be from Jamey Bowman which was “Just make the balls” and I will forever remember that. What is the strongest part of your game? The strongest part of my game would have to be safeties. What is the weakest part of your game? I lack ball control which is getting better everyday. —————————————————————————————————————————-
