Friday, May 20th, 2022 – What is life? And what is love? Is there a Heaven above and a Hell below? How can I say? How can I know? "One fish. Two fish. Red fish. Blue fish." – Dr Seuss. This is the Tallahassee Squirrel, displaced here in the panhandle of Florida in the woods somewhere, trying to make it through another 24 hours on this day. It's 4:50 PM Central Time US, and time is relative, and I can call another part of the globe and it be as time travel, as each of our individual time stamps (realities) appear to be contingent upon our location on Earth in relation to the Sun, as we track time…our time is dependent upon so many factors, but GPS time appears to be dead bang on… What's all this life talk have to do with pool? Glad you asked the question above. Thanks. See, pool and life coincide in so many plethora of ways, as to light the nights sky with infinite stars, some long dead and cold, but we still observing their light. Pool is my life! Some part of it. It's all connected. "Why do people play games? God first played a game." – From The Inner Game Of Tennis. We play. We play games. We live. We love. Lord! Heaven above! What the world needs is more prophets of love! I love life. I love my girl, my son, my mother, father, sisters, life – love that I get to interview some of the coolest people in the game of pocket billiards – icons! And it's all love! All day long billiards blinds the black with white, red, blue, green, and good, bad, ugly, and what some may deem "obscene," but evermore, those super aramith pool balls collide in my minds eye, and I dream of the day all of humanity stands for one common cause – love! Let love rule. Don't be a fool. Be this as a pool article, poem, or diatribe on billiards aficionados, and characters in pool throughout human history – I can't say. This is an exercise in the mind of a mentalist, beaten by the nights early rain, abstain – a sea of green Simonis 860 Cloth on so many pool tables in my head, rather be dead than to have never played the game/sport of pocket billiards – 9 ball being my new favorite game, though I have loved eight ball and 14.1 continuous…and I slide in and out of reality seamlessly, for there seems to some design in this DNA driven life, our "genetic code," a base4 mathematical model for all life we are aware exists, the "hexagram" complete… "Humanity has a data storage problem: More data were created in the past 2 years than in all of preceding history. And that torrent of information may soon outstrip the ability of hard drives to capture it. Now, researchers report that they've come up with a new way to encode digital data in DNA to create the highest-density large-scale data storage scheme ever invented. Capable of storing 215 petabytes (215 million gigabytes) in a single gram of DNA, the system could, in principle, store every bit of datum ever recorded by humans in a container about the size and weight of a couple of pickup trucks. But whether the technology takes off may depend on its cost." – https://www.science.org/content/article/dna-could-store-all-worlds-data-one-room#:~:text=Capable%20of%20storing%20215%20petabytes,a%20couple%20of%20pickup%20trucks. The above, with all my love, I do see an intelligent design – I rhyme through time so sublime, you'll find that when I shoot at the 9, I make it, don't try to fake it…this life is but a dream, but pocket billiards is eternal, "And I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut." Live your life! Play the game! This ride is bumpy, brief, and over really fast is what I'm saying! Enjoy as much as you can, because we will each and every living thing suffer, and suffering is the first noble truth of Buddhism I believe, but could be wrong. Come along! Try, try, and try again, but Yoda said, "There is no try, there is only 'do' or 'do not'!" Life slips by, few have lived, get some Sun 🌞😎 on each and every one of your faces, realize life is short and we may each only have one, carpe diem, seize the day, "You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.." – Eminem. So, you take your chances, play the game, realize we are limited mortals, infinity is a long time, is the universe infinite? Without beginning or end? Is it? Is the universe conscious? Is there some form of "protoconsciousness" that permeates the known universe? Is the universe the original origin of everything else in existence? Who is to say what is "live," and/or what is "Memorex"? What separates the "real" from the "fake," and/or "fabricated," and/or "plastic," and/or "supernatural"? What's it all mean? Who cares? Play the game players and let God sort them out if God exists. Don't think about it so much. Just do, or do not.
